1. Purpose

Succeed in network marketing required a clear purpose. In fact, to achieve any outcome in life, to succeed in any project, purpose is key. If your purpose is ambiguous or unclear you will eventually fail in your career, believe me. Purpose determines your actions, plans and deeds. All things revolve around your purpose, your “Why”. It could be to become rich, to help needy people, to arrange good among of money for you kids tuition fees or have enough wealth to start up a new business in future. A strong and transcending “Why” wil give you the strength, the power, the fortitude to follow through and to never give up until you reach your outcome. The bigger outcome you have, the bigger “Why” you should have. And the secret is to have a “Why” much bigger than yourself.. Write it down, make it cristal clear. You will stay motivated and committed until to have achieve your outcome. A strong purpose is the first ultimate key to succeed in network marketing.

2. Goals

To succeed in network marketing, you should have goals established and synchronized with your purpose. They should be S.M.A.R.T meaning Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound. Write down goals in both short term and long term. You can only succeed in network marketing if you have clear cut goals. Good goals are both quantitative as well as qualitative such as 150 new customers in the second quarter of 2010. Each goal should correspond to one significant step you should realized to achieve your business outcome. Also make each goal interesting, challenging and juicy to give you a powerful purpose to achieve this goal.

3. Plan

In corporate world it is said “if you fail to plan you plan to fail”. Same applies to succeed in network marketing. Develop short term and long term plans to achieve your goals. Plan must be written with proper steps. A secret is also to consider that things never remain the same. So, you must have back up plans, in case of events that are beyond your control would affect the achievement of your goal. Plans must adjust and reviewed periodically for optimal results. An insight here: a plan is not just a theorical element. This is a living and evolving element. Consider a plan as a 4 step process: create, check, apply and refine regularly. Analyzing the results obtain with the current plan should give all along the way the opportunities to adapt and improve it to optimize the results or correct the failures.
